Sudanese take to the streets to celebrate transition to civilian rule

KHARTOUM: The mood in Sudan was celebratory as foreign dignitaries as well as thousands of citizens from all over Sudan converged for the occasion, even if - as observers say - the road to democracy remains fraught with obstacles.
