Jeddah University will establish a technical training center focusing on cloud computing and data management and protection, in collaboration with Commvault, a global provider of data management solutions.
The two sides announced Tuesday the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set the framework of bilateral cooperation between the organizations in supporting scientific research, training and expertise exchange, in line with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
The MoU stipulates that the two sides will cooperate in the fields of training, research and consultation to benefit from each organization’s expertise in both academic and technical fields. The partnership also includes workshops, examinations, distribution of certificates and supporting research projects related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Wael Mustafa, area vice president for Commvault in the Middle East, said: “This agreement will empower students in Ƶ in the fields of data protection and management by providing them with the necessary skills and expertise to enter the technical sector, work in it, and lead it in the future.”
