The Six: Pop stars unite for the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi kick-off concert

DUBAI: A stellar line-up of musicians will take to the stage for the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi on March 14. 

Avril Lavigne

Canadian crooner Avril Lavigne will perform at the Zayed Sports City Stadium on March 14 and will most likely entertain the crowd with her latest release, “Head Above Water.”

Luis Fonsi

Also set to take to the stage at the Zayed Sports City Stadium is Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, who is best known for his smash hit single “Despacito.”

Paul Oakenfold

Three-time Grammy Award nominee British DJ Paul Oakenfold, who has released more than 100 remixes for over 100 artists over the years, will also take to the stage.

Tamer Hosny

Egyptian pop sensation Tamer Hosny, nicknamed “King of the Generation” by his fans, will get the crowd cheering with his well-known hits.

Hussein Al-Jassmi

A few months after Emirati singer Hussein Al-Jasmi performed at the annual Christmas concert in the Vatican in December, the artist will take to the stage in Abu Dhabi.

Assala Nasri

Syrian singer Assala Nasri rounds out the line-up of performers. Known for her powerful voice and dramatic stage gowns, she will no doubt get the crowd going with her popular hits.
