Saleh M. Al-Ghamdi

Saleh M. Al-Ghamdi was appointed the chief operating officer (COO) at the Saudi National Water Co. (NWC) in December 2018.

Prior to his appointment as the COO, he served as the vice president of projects and engineering affairs and the vice president of projects and technical services respectively between September 2017 and December 2018. 

Previously, he was the CEO and managing director of his own consultancy services agency — Saleh M. Al-Ghamdi Engineering Consultancy — based in Alkhobar between 2015 and 2017. 

He also was a strategic partner at DroobTech Co., which offers technical, management, engineering, and projects support consultancy services. 

Al-Ghamdi also served at Saudi Aramco for 17 years between 1996 and 2013. He began his journey with Aramco as a process automation engineer and held several positions including the project manager of Tank Farm and SADARA.  

Al-Ghamdi holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from King Saud University in Riyadh, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, Arizona in the US. 

Ƶ is working around the clock to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the citizens and residents of the country. Different civic agencies are working on several projects to address water issues in parts of the Kingdom. On Saturday, Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, the minister of environment, water and agriculture announced the completion of the second phase of the water production and transmission project from Rabigh Dam to Jeddah City and Rabigh Refining Station at a cost of SR447 million ($119 million). 

Al-Ghamdi said: “The project aims to increase the water supply in the Makkah area by 100,000 cubic meters per day.”
