RIYADH: ��������Ƶ intercepted Friday a ballistic missile launched by Houthi militias in the direction of Jazan, according to the coalition battling them in neighboring Yemen. 

��������Ƶ’s air defenses intercepted the ballistic missile that was launched by Houthi militias from Yemen’s Saadah governorate. The missile was fired at Jazan but was intercepted. 

Coalition spokesman Turki Al-Maliki said that the missile was fired towards Jazan in ��������Ƶ and aimed to target areas populated by civilians. 

Earlier on in the week, two ballistic missiles were fired at the Saudi capital Riyadh. 

Al-Maliki blamed the attack on “militiamen and terrorists, vassals of Iran” who try to “threaten the security of ��������Ƶ, the region and the world.”
