ISLAMABAD: Pakistan strongly condemned the “heinous and reprehensible” suicide attacks that targeted innocent civilians at voter registration centers in Kabul and Baghlan provinces in Afghanistan, on Sunday.

“We are grieved at the loss of precious innocent lives in this brutal act of terrorism,” Pakistan’s Foreign Office said in a statement.
“we express our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.” the statement added.

At least 63 people including women and children were killed and more than 119 injured in suicide attack in Kabul, on Sunday, outside a voter registration center.

Daesh claimed the responsibility for the bombing.

“Pakistan is confident that such attacks would not deter the resolve of the Afghan people to determine their own future through the exercise of their right to vote,” Foreign Ministry said.
