Yemen’s army progresses against Houthi militia in Taiz

The Yemeni army and forces of the Popular Resistance gained controlled of the strategic military positions overlooking the district of Al-Rahdah, south of Taiz on Friday.

Captain Mohammed al-Naqib, told the official Yemeni news agency that the second brigade of the national army was able, after heavy battles, to liberate the mountains overlooking Al-Rahdah from the control of the Houthi militia, who suffered heavy losses.

According to the military official, the forces managed to gain control of several mountains in the area that were controlled by Houthi militia during a military operation backed by air raids of the Saudi-led Arab coalition targeting militia positions.
