JEDDAH: Schools will be suspended in the national capital and a number of governorates in Riyadh province on Tuesday because of bad weather, the region's Ministry of Education said late on Monday.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), General Director Hamad bin Nasser Al-Wahaib said the decision to suspend classes stemmed from a warning by the General Authority for Meteorology and Environment Protection of a coming sandstorm.
Schools will also be suspended in the governorates of Rumah, Thadiq, Al Muzahimiyah, Huraymila, Al Diriyah and Dhurma, the education ministry said.
