JEDDAH: The Greatest Royal Rumble — tipped to be one of the biggest matches in WWE history — is set for April 27 in Jeddah.
Usually comprising 30 or 40 wrestlers, the Saudi crowd are going to be treated to a 50-man event with the likes of John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura scheduled to feature in the wrestling bonanza, however not all of them will be participating in the Royal Rumble match.
A Royal Rumble winner has the opportunity to face the champion of their choice at Wrestlemania, and WWE’s most recent winner Shinsuke Nakamura will square off with AJ Styles at Wrestlemania in April.
The event is part of a 10-year strategic multi-platform partnership between the wrestling company and the Saudi General Sports Authority in support of Vision 2030. And the agreement will see Saudi wrestling fans enjoying other WWE events such as “Tag Team,” “Raw Title”, and “Peace.”
According to WWE chairman and CEO, Vince MacMahon, WWE is planning to organize the events using different methods, in terms of production and output, that will allow for a unique presentation for the Ƶn public.

“The Greatest Royal Rumble will be a spectacle of historic proportions,” said McMahon. “Our partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority reflects a long-term commitment to present WWE’s world-class entertainment to a global audience on a grander scale than ever before.”
The signing of the international agreement continues the Kingdom’s bold move to boost its entertainment industry by hosting landmark sporting events, including the hosting earlier this year of the Race of Champions as well as the upcoming World Boxing Super Series Cruiserweight final.
Ticket and broadcast information for the “Greatest Royal Rumble” will be available in the coming weeks.
