SEOUL: North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un said inter-Korean ties must improve ahead of the Winter Olympics, appearing to extend an olive branch to Pyongyang’s neighbor.
“We must improve the North-South relations that are in frozen state and turn this year into a watershed period in the national history,” he said in a new year’s address Monday ahead of next month’s Games in Pyeongchang.
