37,000 identified Iqama violators in 5 days across KSA

RIYADH: A joint field campaign which kicked off last Wednesday across the Kingdom to pursue and arrest violators of iqama regulations, resulted in the seizure of 36,656 violators including 22,085 violators of iqama regulations; 6,874 violators of border security regulations; and 7,697 violators of labor regulations.

A total of 574 people were caught trying to cross the border into the Kingdom, 77 percent of whom were Yemeni nationals and 21 percent were Ethiopians. Three persons were arrested for attempting to cross the border leaving the Kingdom.

The total number of those who are currently in expatriate detention centers reached 9,349, including 8,371 men and 978 women.

The total number of citizens charged with harboring regulation violators is 27. One of them was released after the penalties were paid.

Authorities confirm the deportation of 4,457 violators; the imposition of immediate sanctions against 3,223 violators; the referral of 2,750 violators to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents; and the referral of 2,891 violators to complete their travel procedures.
