JEDDAH: The palace of Qatari Sheikh Sultan bin Suhaim Al-Thani was raided by the country鈥檚 state security last week, Sky News Arabia reported on Monday.
Armed men entered Sheikh Sultan鈥檚 Doha property confiscating documents in a raid that lasted for 6 hours, the channel reported citing sources.
Previously, state agents entered Sheikh Sultan鈥檚 mother鈥檚 private room and took valuables including family photos, all her jewelry, and cash.
During the operations, minors were beaten and workers arrested.
Appearing on Sky News Arabia in September, the sheikh repeated the plea made by another royal family member, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani, to resolve the dispute with its Gulf neighbors.
Qatar froze the accounts of Sheikh Sultan, the channel said, days after the freezing of Sheikh Abdullah鈥檚 assets.
In response to the action, Sheikh Abdullah tweeted on Saturday: 鈥淭he Qatari regime honors me by freezing all of my bank accounts, and I thank them for this honor and I have the honor to present it to the homeland.鈥
鈥淪ince the crisis started I have been living in Paris after I could no longer tolerate seeing strangers roaming our country and interfering in our affairs under the pretext of protecting us from our brothers in 抖阴短视频 and other Gulf states,鈥 Sheikh Sultan said.
