Mastercard, a leading technology company in the global payments industry, has announced the appointment of J. K. Khalil as the company鈥檚 country manager for the Kingdom, effective Sept. 1.
鈥淲ith his extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the local market, Khalil will be in charge of promoting strategic growth, enhancing Mastercard鈥檚 operations in the Kingdom and maximizing value to its local customers in the market, one of the company鈥檚 largest markets in the Middle East and Africa region,鈥� a press release said.

Khalil joined Mastercard in 2016 armed with 13 years of experience spanning financial services, technology and payment solutions. Prior to joining Mastercard, Khalil served as senior manager at Booz & Company and has also worked with a number of international banking groups such as BNP Paribas and Barclays.
Khalil holds an MBA from the University of Chicago in the US as well as a bachelor鈥檚 degree in computer systems and software from the Faculty of Engineering at the St. Joseph University of Beirut.
