King Salman invites El-Sisi to visit ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ next month

THE DEAD SEA, Jordan: King Salman and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday met on the sidelines of the Arab Summit.

The two leaders discussed bilateral ties, means to boost cooperation, the latest regional political developments and the summit’s agenda. The meeting was attended by a number of officials.

Accompanied by his Egyptian counterpart, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir told the media that King Salman invited El-Sisi to visit ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ next month.

Al-Jubeir said the two sides have common visions on all challenges facing the region, and the threat posed by Iran.

He accused Tehran of aggressively intervening in the internal affairs of Arab states, igniting sectarianism and supporting terrorism.

King Salman also met with Arab heads of state on the sidelines of the summit. The monarch met with Kuwait’s Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, Bahrain’s King Hamad and Tunisian President Mohamed Beji Caid Essebsi. The separate meetings, attended by a number of officials, discussed bilateral relations, ways of enhancing cooperation and the summit’s agenda.
