JEDDAH: Saudi Special Security Forces carried out a simulated attempt by a terrorist prisoner to break away with the help of a group of terrorists during his transfer from prison. The exercise involved chasing the terrorists who were hiding in a building.
Backed by helicopters, the Saudi security forces dealt with the terrorists in a record time and with outstanding success.
The simulation was part of the 10th day of activities performed at the Arab Gulf Security-1 exercises hosted by Bahrain. Saudi Special Security Forces carried out several operations during the exercise.
The exercise entailed dividing special operations forces and armored security forces, defusing and removing explosives, and cooperation with the air force.
The simulation included the attempt of a group of terrorists to escape by hiding in a building. The security forces worked according to detailed plans and considerations of all possible scenarios.
The commander of the participating Saudi security forces, Brig. Shaea bin Salem Al-Wada'ni, said that ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ is keen to lead and take part in security exercises because of the prominent role it plays among the Gulf security forces.
