Crown prince: Saudi missions should be open to all citizens

RIYADH: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, said in Riyadh on Wednesday that Saudi missions abroad should be open to all citizens to serve in a fitting manner, as per the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
The crown prince was addressing 17 ambassadors who were designated to various countries at his office in Riyadh on Wednesday when he made the statement. The reception for the ambassadors was also attended by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nizar Obaid Madani.
Congratulating the new ambassadors, the crown prince said that the missions’ doors must be open to all its citizens abroad to enable them to serve Saudi citizens when required.
He pointed out that their task is also to improve the image of the Kingdom’s role as a regional and international player, adding that they should strive to promote bilateral relations with their respective countries and should work to maintain the Kingdom’s role as a leading Arab and Islamic country under the able leadership of King Salman.
The following Ambassadors have been designated to represent the Kingdom in various countries: Ali bin Hassan Jaafar in Sudan, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Aifan in Romania, Osama bin Mohammed Shuaibi in Indonesia, Mohammed bin Mahmoud Al-Ali in Tunisia, Adel bin Abdulrahman Baksh in Portugal, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Daoud in Djibouti, Abdulaziz bin Hamoud Al-Zaid in Sweden, Fahd bin Mayuf Ruwaili in Denmark, Abdullah bin Faleh Harijani in Ethiopia, Mohamed bin Mansour in Tanzania, Mohammed bin Abdul-Ghani Khayat in Kenya, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Badi in Tajikistan, Walid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi in Burkina Faso, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasil as the representative to the EU headquarters in Geneva, along with Ali Al-Orabi Al-Harthy in Mali and Sahl bin Mustafa Harqasus in Mynmar.
