There was a huge turnout at the Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference 2014, on the second of the show on Tuesday.
The event was jointly inaugurated by Riyadh Gov. Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and Jean-Marie Le Guen, French state minister for relations with the parliament, on Monday.
It was estimated that more than 5,000 visitors thronged the venue in the afternoon on the second day of the show. Vehicles were parked outside the parking lot of the exhibition center since the designated parking areas were full.
In a press statement, Prince Turki said that the health projects that are under way are to be completed soon. “They are in the final stages and they will be completed on schedule,” the prince added.
The governor also urged the foreign and local investors from medical companies to have their manufacturing facilities installed at the new Sudair Industrial city. He said arrangements will be made to attract such investors to the industrial city with the help of a planned program chalked out by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
France was the guest of honor at the exhibition and there were more than 20 French companies taking part in the show.
Running until Wednesday (May 21), Saudi Health is considered to be the largest health care event in the Kingdom and hosts more than 300 exhibitors from 35 countries and 10,000 industry professionals to highlight the development path and prospects of the Saudi health care sector. The products and services showcased at Saudi Health 2014 emphasize the heightened importance of the health care sector for the Kingdom.
Speaking at a press conference held at the exhibition grounds on Tuesday, Nawah Chief Commercial Officer Mazin Al-Hassan said that health sector in the Kingdom was a multi-billion market and in that medical imaging market was estimated at around SR4 billion.
He added that Nawah is a health care leader that provides state-of-the-art medical solutions in the Kingdom. “Nawah and its partners are dedicated to improve patients’ health and make a difference in the quality of treatment that patients receive.”
Nawah's seven divisions are focussed to deliver turnkey solutions specifically tailored to satisfy its customers’ needs such as patient room solutions, operating room solutions, renal care solutions, infection prevention technology solutions, advanced medical technology solutions, pharmacy automation and workflow solutions, and service and maintenance.
