• The new Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle has proved it can go the distance, achieving 67 miles (108 km) per gallon in official US combined city/highway driving calculations, and an estimated driving range of 312 miles (502 KM) on a single tank — a distance further than for any other zero-emissions car on the market. The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) fuel economy rating for the pioneering fuel cell car confirms that Mirai is the only zero emissions vehicle on the market capable of exceeding 300 miles. The Toyota Mirai is the world’s first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, a four-door saloon with performance that competes with traditional internal combustion engines. The Mirai’s motor is powered by electricity generated through a chemical reaction between air-borne oxygen and hydrogen in an on-board fuel cel.

• The Audi Group is continuing along its growth path: From January through June, the company delivered more than 900,000 automobiles of the Audi brand to customers worldwide for the first time in a six-month period. At the same time, the Ingolstadt company increased its revenue to 30 billion euros and its operating profit to 2.9 billion euros. The company achieved an operating return on sales of 9.8 percent, once again at the upper end of its strategic target corridor of eight to ten percent. At the presentation of the half-year interim report, Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management of AUDI AG, stated, “The Audi Group demonstrated its strengths once again in the first six months of this year.” Despite high advance expenditure for new models, technologies and the expansion of the worldwide production network, Audi did not lose sight of its ambitious profitability targets. Axel Strotbek, member of the board of management of Audi AG for finance and organization, stated: “We are deliberately making large investments in new models, technologies and production capacities, which will pay off in the medium and long term.”

Amidst a crowd of cheering fans and alongside stars Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and director Christopher McQuarrie, the new BMW M3 and the new BMW 7 Series were featured on the red carpet. Following a successful partnership with “Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol” in 2011, the BMW Group placed their automobiles, motorcycles and technologies at the disposal of the production crew at Paramount Pictures for the second time. “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” arrived at cinemas in the Middle East on Aug. 6.

Myhinpaa (14.13km) is used in the opposite direction to last year and in a shortened form. It was quite technical for the opening 8km, with several places where drivers had to slowdown to hold the correct line.
